CWU Conference 2026 Motion 16: Call For Working Time Directive Reduction

 

James Mason, South London, Surrey and North Hampshire branch, Bob from Colchester and District Branch, Dai Horton,
Branch Secretary South East Wales Amal Branch, and Angela Whitter speaking for the NEC.

 

Voting on this motion was close, with the Chairperson deciding a Card Vote was necessary. Each card holds the name of the Branch voting and the membership strength (numbers of members) which are then added together by the scrutineers: to determine the for and against figures.

 

The motion was CARRIED following a card vote.
